TREVOR GORING was born in 1952, in birmingham, england, the homeland of many comic book creators. in high school, he produced a fanzine called SEMINAR. in college, he co-published a comic book magazine, UNK. underground publisher, h. bunch, released the second issue as VIEW FROM THE VOID. at ST. MARTIN’S COLLEGE OF ART in london, TREVOR’s post-graduate work in illustration was completed with his thesis, THE LANGUAGE OF THE COMIC STRIP. after college TREVOR illustrated romance and war comics. in 1974, he went to work for the british comic, 2000 AD. in 1978, the bbc asked him to illustrate the children’s television series, CAPTAIN ZEP. two years and many ZEP scripts later, TREVOR moved onto advertising art. after four years at DOMINO STUDIOS, he helped form HELICOPTER STUDIOS, LONDON, which gave starts to many talented artists.
in 1991 TREVOR came to hollywood, california, and has since storyboarded over 40 feature films, including INDEPENDENCE DAY, FINAL FANTASY, MIGHTY JOE YOUNG, GATTACA, THE CELL, FANTASTIC FOUR, X-MEN 2, CHRONICLES OF NARNIA, and the new animated feature TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA TURTLES.
TREVOR also continued to work on comic books -- STAR TREK, PANTERA, and RING OF ROSES. his four issue mini-series, WATERLOO SUNSET with writer ANDREW STEPHENSON, published by image comics last year, will be collected into a trade paperback in october 2006. his next comic book projects include DIAMOND TANGO, with RICHARD MAXWELL and LEWIS ABEL, and A PLACE OF WEEDS with BOB BURDEN. he is also currently working on a video game, STRANGLEHOLD, with legendary director JOHN WOO, a sequel to WOO’s hong kong action thriller, HARDBOILED.
